Mary Ellen has more than 30 years of experience with Guiding Eyes for the Blind. She developed raisers and puppies on their journey to becoming someone’s Guiding Eyes. Her strong conviction that relationship with your dog is based on mutual love and respect. Making training fun from the beginning sets the pace for how your dog perceives training for the rest of their life. She enjoys watching the Obedience competition team begin to click.

A student of Suzanne Clothier’s Relationship Centered Training, and Sarah Wilson, she continues to attend seminars and training sessions on a regular basis. She enjoyed training and competing in Obedience, Rally and Agility with her late Labrador Retriever, Imogene who obtained her AKC UD, RE, NJP, TKA & UKC CD, RO1 & 2. She is a member of Hamburg All-Breed Obedience, Western Lakes Training and South Towns Dog Training Clubs. Her now 4 year old Lab, Mylie has earned CDX, BN, RI, OJP, CGC, TKE. Presently 2 UD legs.

Her Beginner Novice/Novice class teaches perch work, helping rear end awareness, the use of equipment for reliable fronts and finishes, heeling, and learning the exercises for the beginner classes.

Open/Utility class extends the fundamentals while learning the Open/Utility exercises in a fun manner.
