Saturday, January 18:

Novice session: This two-hour session will focus on the skills necessary to successfully compete on novice courses. Some of the things we will be highlighting include handling lines, focus and commitment, sequencing. Only dogs who are actually competing/ready to debut in novice are appropriate for this session. This is not a foundation seminar. Dogs should be familiar with all of the equipment and capable of sequencing. Six weave poles will be part of the course.

Open/Excellent Session: Moving from Novice to Open or Open to Excellent provides significant challenges to a team. This two-hour session will focus on the changes and challenges presented by the “tweenie” dog teams. Only dogs who are actually competing/moving from Novice to Open or Open to Excellent are appropriate for this session.

Sunday, January 19:

Masters Session I: This two-hour session will focus on the skills necessary to successfully compete at the Masters level. We will consider such things as demystifying crosses, working your weaves and setting up your masters dog for success.

Masters Session II: This two-hour session will further focus on the skills necessary to successfully compete on the Masters level. Things that we will consider are walking and planning your course, looking for lines and spotting/avoiding traps on the course.

Each session will provide different Masters level learning opportunities. Only dogs actually competing in the Masters level are appropriate for these sessions.

General info:

Maximum of 8 working teams for each session. The teams will be split into a group of 4 and each group will work with each instructor for approximately 55 minutes with a 10 minute break between instructor sessions. All efforts will be made to ensure that each team receives equal floor time, but all participants are strongly encouraged to watch and listen to the work each team as a great deal of information will be imparted.

Lunch will be served at noon and all participants are welcome to either stay for lunch and/or arrive early for lunch. Active auditors will have the opportunity during the lunch session to use the floor to practice the AM skills.

$15o per session for working spot, $75 audit spot per session.

Lunch, water & snacks will be provided.
